Recently, we killed our mail server (MSExchange) and switched to Zimbra Collaboration Suite Open Source version ( it's doing perfect, btw ).

At the same period I killed my Xp and switched to Ubuntu 9.04.. ( it's also doing perfect ;) )

In time, I needed a tiny app that would periodically check my newly arrived e-mail(s) and notify me. I couldn't make "Zimbra Desktop" work on Xp nor Ubuntu. Also it wasn't what I needed. I need a small program works background, tells me the # of unread msgs and their sender, subject pair. (low mem usage, no desktop space)

Currently just for Ubuntu 9.04, I don't know whether would work on previous versions or not. You can give it a try. If you like, enjoy it...

Getiğimiz aylarda mevcut MS Exchange e-posta sunucumuzu uçurup yerine Zimbra Collaboration Suite açık kaynak beleş sürümünü kurduk. Ve aylardır hiç sorunsuz kullanıyoruz. Hem biz sistem yöneticileri hem de kullanıcılar gayet mutlu.

Hemen hemen aynı zamanlarda, ben de kendi bilgisayarımda ki XP'yi bir güzel silip pat diye Ubuntu'ya geçtim. Şimdi düşünüyorum da, çok zaman kaybetmişim, çoook...

Ubuntu üzerinde, Zimbradaki postaları kontrol edecek bir program lazım oldu zaman içinde. Aslında XP'de de araştırmıştım. Zimbra Desktop ne orda ne burda bir türlü çalışmadı. Zaten küçük, hafıza ve masaüstünde yer israf etmeyen birşey arıyordum. Bulamadım...

Şimdilik, sadece Ubuntu 9.04 için, öncekilerde çalışır mı bilmiyorum. Denemesi bedava :). Beğenirseniz sizin olsun.
